I hope you had a wonderful second celebration of the New Millennium. I hope your holidays
were happy and filled with friends, family and festivities. This time we were able to enjoy
the coming of the New Year without the worry of the Y2K bug. Wondering if our information would
still be there or would we have to recreate our businesses.
In 2001, NYARM celebrates its 43rd year of service and leadership to the real estate management profession. We continue our dedication to the higher standards of our profession. We maintain our hands on approach to providing education, information and networking for the property manager.
As we start this year, our sights are set on a full slate of services, events and activities. We will continue our effort to provide ever-increasing support of our membership. We are committed to our industry and will keep on setting the standard for professionalism.
NYARM's activities are numerous. We offer an educational and certification program at New York University that is held in high regard in our industry. Even if you already hold a certification (nyarm or otherwise) our courses can be important for your continuing education. NYARM's monthly membership meetings feature prominent guest speakers whose remarks are of interest to us all. We will continue our new format of morning seminars followed by an opportunity for an informal talk with the panelists, networking with the other seminar attendees and a monthly membership meeting.
The NYARM newspaper continues its steady growth in circulation. It has become a tremendous resource for information about the many issues facing the property manager servicing owners and residents while dealing with staff, security, unions, vendors and government agencies.
NYARM has planned many exciting and important events and activities for this year. In addition to our monthly meetings, seminars, golf outing, tradeshow, charity work and holiday dinner dance, we will once again honor outstanding people properties and events that have enhanced our industry and our association.
You are invited to join us in this New Millennium. Complete the application below and become a member of one of the strongest professional management groups in New York. P. Leonard Jones, PHM, nyarm
