For the first time in over a decade of sponsoring one of the real estate industry's most prominent
trade shows, the New York Association of Realty Managers (NYARM) has retained a professional
organizer, McCarthy Expositions, to produce its next event on Thursday, October 18, 2001 -- NYARM
Real Estate Expo 2001 -- at Pier 92, 52nd Street and 12th Avenue in Manhattan.
"In response to the enthusiastic inquiries of the membership, we are taking a new tack by
providing them with the biggest and best organized trade show in the 11-year history of the
event," says Ms. Klein. "McCarthy Expositions has a wonderful track record, plus we have chosen
a new venue that is not only centrally located with on-site parking, but will easily accommodate more
than 200 booths, which is what we are anticipating for this year's show." McCarthy Expositions is responsible for trade shows nationwide, including Air Con, Service and
Contractors Expo and Electricon. Headed by Scott Stein, the Millburn, New Jersey based
organization focuses on trade shows and conferences in the construction, contracting and food
service industries. Pier 92 is one of three 70,000-square-foot exhibition sites comprising The Show Piers at the
NYC Passenger Ship Terminal. The glass-enclosed exhibition halls offer on-site rooftop parking,
direct access via truck roadways, and elevators to the main floors. Moreover, the long rectangular
layout of the piers enables easy set-up and dismantling for exhibitors. For more information about
