WE GET LETTERS

NYARM HAS A HEART

Dear Friends:

It is with deep appreciation that we say thank you for your recent check in the amount of $1500 to the Association for the Advancement of Blind and Retarded, Inc., to sponsor individuals who ran in the New York City Marathon on behalf of the New York Child Learning Institute.

Your sponsorship of runners who pushed the limits of their potential to reach the finish line November 1st, will be put to immediate good use to help our children with autism reach their potential, mastering skills which most of us take for granted but which represent significant milestones for them.

Effective intervention teaches critical language, social and academic skills, enabling our boys and girls to begin meaningful relationships with family and friends and live more productive lives. Your support of our mission, "that each life may find meaning," enables our students to work toward a future whereby they can benefit even further including a decrease in the need for ongoing specialized education and treatment services.

Thank you again for your support. With best wishes,

Sincerely,

Laila Dahl
Director of Development and Community Affairs

Dear Donna and Wonderful Friends at NYARM,

One of the best Holiday Treats for me this year was the fact that my new "little ones" at Francis of Paola were included in the wonderful generosity of my friends at NYARM. It was one of those unexpected surprises that makes me believe that "miracles" do continue to happen.

Your visit to our newest AHRC center touched our staff deeply. I am sure that you were able to sense their amazement at your generosity as well as your graciousness and playfulness.

As usual Santa was the kindest and gentlest of old souls!!! Most of our children were not at all strange with him and that says a lot. I don't know how he ever survived the numbers of children that he had to embrace and put on his lap. However, he did it with the warmth and the love of Dear St. Nick! It was beautiful to watch!!!

Joan did her marvelous job with the choice of gifts!!! With the two centers this year I know that burden was not an easy one, regardless of how she makes it sound so easy! Thank you!!

I was so happy that some of our parents were able to witness your generosity to their children. It helps them to be more positive about their children when others are so. It also gave them an opportunity to have their child's picture taken with Santa. So many of our families are unable to take their children to the mall, etc. either because of financial limitations or their child's inability to function appropriately in such a stimulating environment. They were truly grateful.
In the name of all our children and their families, all our wonderfully dedicated staff and in my name I wish each and every member of NYARM the very best for this the last year of this millenium. May your lives and your homes be places of peace and prosperity.

Gratefully yours,
Sister Pat Lynch, Principal
Francis of Paola Early Learning Center

Dear Donna:

The holiday party you and your group provided for our children was fantastic. Santa and his helpers did an outstanding job of making all the children feel special! The toys, cookies and warm wishes were truly appreciated. It was my pleasure to meet you all and to welcome you to my first holiday season at AHRC Brooklyn Blue Feather; I look forward to many years of shared events on behalf of the children and families at our school.

Wishing you and your families all a wonderful holiday season filled with peace on earth, joy in your homes and love in your hearts.

Sincerely,

Joanne Goldkrand, Principal

To NYARM:

I just wanted to write a short thank you note for the fabulous time my son had with Santa at the holiday party that you sponsored for Brooklyn Blue Feather's Early Learning Center on Wednesday, December 16, 1998. He loved the teddy bear that Santa gave him.

Keep up the good work! It was very much appreciated.

HONORS

Dear NYARM Board of Directors,

Thank you so very much for the distinguished honor that you awarded my organization as the "NYARM Management Company of the Year." We are truly appreciative.
My extremely hard working staff receives this acknowledgement, especially in a fairly thankless profession, gratefully. My family, friends and staff enjoyed the holiday celebration immensely.

All of us at Saparn Realty would like to take this opportunity to wish the Board of NYARM and their families a joyous holiday season and a happy, healthy, peaceful and prosperous New Year!

Sincerely yours,

Saparn Realty, Inc.
Anita Sapirman, RAM, nyarm
President

Dear Len:
Since I chose not to speak at the NYARM Dinner Dance on December 5, 1998 I thought it only appropriate to drop you this note of thanks.

Many years ago, while sitting on site in East New York, vendor members of NYARM introduced me to the organization where I was welcomed with open arms by all.

Through what was then an "unofficial" NYARM job placement program and subsequent networking, I was interviewed and hired by Charles H. Greenthal Management. That was almost fourteen years ago. Today I continue to work for Greenthal as General Manager of North Shore Towers Apartments on the Queens/Nassau border.

As a NYARM member now and a former NYARM board member I have seen the organization grow from it's infancy to a prestigious industry giant in its field.

Whether it be a change of employment, health insurance, credit union loans, locating a vendor or contractor, supporting legislation beneficial to the housing industry or continuing education, NYARM has always been there for me.

I thank you and NYARM for making me your selection as 1998 Manager of the Year.

Love,

Suz Landi
