I am pleased to inform you that The Cooperator has named me their
Co-op and Condo Community#s Man of the Year for 1999. The award,
along with three Leadership in Management awards, will be presented
at the banquet and benefit immediately following their Expo, on
Thursday, March 25th.
This is an award
for which I cannot adequately express my appreciation. When a
prestigious and influential publication such as The Cooperator
selects their honorees they are recognizing all who are involved.
In honoring me, The Cooperator honors a great number of people.
Much of this award is due to the phenomenal success of NYARM.
That success is in no way singularly mine. It first belongs to
the finest group of professionals I have ever had the pleasure
of associating with, the members of the NYARM Board of Directors.
Individuals like Rochelle Captan, Steve Elbaz, Vince Callagy,
Debbie Morrell and Michael Wegielski comprise the Executive Committee,
that steers NYARM on its present course. Nelson Davis, Ben Jacobson,
Wayne Reed, Joan Saberito and Ted Yates chair the committees that
have been so successful year after year. Others like Greg Carlson,
John Hendrick, Otis Jones, Ellen Kornfeld and Tom Maniuszko are
always available and helpful. Each and every board member contributes
in a major way to NYARM's success.
Then there is our Executive Director, Donna Klein, who keeps everything
together. She is at the hub of every NYARM activity. She, along
with the recent addition of Pearl Dennis, attends the mountain
of details involved in running a professional organization the
size and scope of NYARM.
We would not be successful at all without the dedicated assistance
of the associate members of NYARM, the many exhibitors, advertisers
and supporters who have been active over the last 41 years. They
are too numerous to mention by name but we want them to realize
how important they are to NYARM.
Finally, there is our management membership. Your support of our work and ideas has been exceptional and greatly appreciated. NYARM is rich thanks to your participation and your comradeship as we work together towards the advancement of our profession.
I also note with great pleasure the other Cooperator honorees, Insignia Residential Group, Mark Greenberg Real Estate and Precision Property Management. It is worth mentioning that all three recipients of the Leadership in Management awards are NYARM members.
