Welcome To the Sayville Ferry's Directions Page
From West to Sayville
 |
1. Southern Stale Parkway to Hecksher Parkway.
2. Take Exit 44 East from Hecksher onto Sunrise Highway - Route 27.
3. Take Sunrise approximately 4 1/2 miles to Lakeland Avenue South
4. Turn right onto Lakeland Avenue.
5. Take Lakeland Avenue 2 miles to second light, which is Main St., Sayville, then go left
6. Follow the green & white "Fire Island Ferry" sign to the ferry terminal. |
OR:
1. Long Island Expressway East to exit 59 South.
2. Turn right at first light onto Ocean Avenue, Route 93
3. Take Route 93 South for 6-1/2 miles (Note: 93 will become Lakeland Avenue) to the
light following the
second RR crossing.
4. Make left at light, which will be Main Street, Sayville. and follow the sign to the terminal. |

From East to Sayville
 |
1. Long Island Expressway to Exit 62. South (Blue Point)
2. Take Nicolls Road Route 97 approximately 5 1/2 miles to second light. which is Route 85.
3. Turn right onto Route 85. Montauk Highway.
4. After RR overpass take first left onto Foster Avenue
5. Follow the green and white "Fire Island Ferries" sign to the ferry terminal

OR:
1. Take Sunrise Highway Route 27 West to Nicolls Road.
2. Take Nicolls Road Route 97 South to second light.
3. Follow steps 3. 4. 5. above. |

- Dogs must be leashed on the docks and on the ferry; pet owners are responsible for their pets' actions.
- Passenger ferries will not accept such freight as furniture, lumber, beds, trees, wagons, construction equipment etc.
- Compressed gas cylinders and flammable liquids are not permitted as well.
