Toka is an alternative/rock band based out of the New York City area. They formed three years ago from the remnants of Brother Chris and Avetis, two popular local bands. Toka quickly became one of New York's most exciting new bands due to their driving sound and their intense live performances.

Toka is composed of four diverse elements. Damon Jackson, drums and percussion, provides a solid backbone for the band's distinct style. Jeff Murphy, is responsible for the thick and melodic bass-lines that provide the foundation for the music. Then, there is Andy Caiano, lead guitar, who brings forth the dynamic lead that helps distinguish the band's sound. The final element to the mix is John Sapienza, best known as Sap, whose intense, emotional rhythms and moving lyrics and vocals complete the group.
